About Onlinecalculatorworks
What Onlinecalculatorworks is
Onlinecalculatorworks is a small collection of the calculators people actually reach for day to day — percentages, discounts, tips, loan payments, interest, sales tax, BMI, age, averages, GPA and CGPA. No sign-up, no installs, and no waiting on a server: every calculation runs directly in your browser the moment you type a number.
Why we built it
Most calculator sites bury a simple tool under pop-ups, redirects, or a dozen unrelated widgets. We wanted the opposite: type a number, get an accurate answer, move on with your day. Each tool uses the same standard formula you'd find in a textbook, a bank's loan documentation, or a health guideline — nothing proprietary, nothing hidden.
How it works
There's no backend involved in the calculations themselves. Your inputs are processed with JavaScript running on your own device, which means your numbers are never transmitted anywhere or stored on a server. You can read more about this in our privacy policy.
How we build and check the calculators
Every calculator on this site uses a standard, publicly known formula: the reducing-balance method for EMI, the compound interest formula for deposits, the weight-over-height-squared definition for BMI, and credit-weighted averages for GPA and CGPA. Each calculator page shows the formula, explains what every symbol means, and walks through worked examples with real numbers, so you can check the result by hand.
Before a calculator goes live, the result for a set of sample inputs is worked out separately with a script and compared with what the page displays. The tables and examples on each page are computed the same way rather than typed in from memory. When a rule varies between institutions, for example how a university converts CGPA to a percentage, we say so on the page instead of presenting one version as universal.
What we do not do
We do not store the numbers you enter, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not give financial, medical, legal or tax advice. The calculators are estimates for general information. For an official figure, such as a loan quote, a tax invoice or a degree percentage, use the document or rule issued by the bank, tax authority or university concerned.
Corrections and updates
Each calculator page shows when it was last reviewed. Tax rates, grading schemes and similar rules change, so if you notice something out of date or a result that looks wrong, write to us through the contact page with the numbers you entered and we will check it.
